GR Cup Heads to Circuit of the Americas as Championship Battles Heat Up

Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup Series returns to Texas alongside SRO America for Rounds 5 and 6 of the season at Circuit of the Americas (COTA). With four rounds complete, a 28-car field is set to take on the iconic 3.42-mile, 20-turn road course.

GR Cup veteran Spike Kohlbecker leads the driver standings by 32 points after winning three of the first four races. RVA Graphics Motorsports drivers Will Robusto and Max Schweid sit second and third, respectively, while Jeremy Fletcher and Ethan Goulart complete the top five.

In the team standings, TechSport Racing has taken control of the lead, while Copeland Motorsports and RVA Graphics Motorsports remain locked in a tight battle for second. BSI Racing sits fourth, with Eagles Canyon w/ Fast Track in fifth.

WWEX Group Legends Cup

With an expanded schedule in 2026, the WWEX Group Legends Cup heads to Circuit of the Americas (COTA) for Rounds 5 and 6 of 10. Patrick Brunson has taken control of the point standings after winning three of the first four races.

Weekend Schedule

On-track action begins Thursday and Friday with testing and practice sessions. Racing kicks off Saturday with Race 1 qualifying at 9:05 a.m. CT, followed by Race 1 at 1:25 p.m. CT.

Prior to Saturday’s race, fans will have the opportunity to meet all GR Cup Series drivers during a 30-minute autograph session from 11:00–11:30 a.m. CT in the Lone Star Land Fan Plaza. Event posters will be available for drivers to sign.

Sunday wraps up the weekend at COTA with Race 2 qualifying in the morning, followed by Race 2 going green at 10:40 a.m. CT.

Both races will be streamed live on grcupseries.com and the GT World YouTube channel.

  • Friday General Admission: $11.32
  • Saturday General Admission: $39.87
  • Sunday General Admission: $39.87
  • Children 12 and under are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
  • General Admission tickets grants attendees’ access to the paddock.
