The two drivers each secured a victory and a third-place finish in the previous event at Barber Motorsports Park to keep the championship fight close. In addition to the title fight, the 30-driver GR Cup Series field is highlighted by Toyota Development Driver (TD2) Keelan Harvick, who will make his GR Cup debut for RAFA Racing.
While Kohlbecker and Fletcher duel for the championship, RVA Graphics Motorsports teammates Will Robusto and Max Schweid are separated by just five points in the battle for third. Parker DeLong holds the fifth spot in the championship standings, trailing Schweid by 37 points.
In the team championship, TechSport Racing leads Copeland Motorsports by 21 points, while RVA Graphics Motorsports (-64), BSI Racing (-105) and Eagles Canyon w/Fast Track (-139) round out the top five.
