In partnership with SRO Motorsports Group America and iRacing, Toyota Gazoo Racing North America (TGRNA) is thrilled to announce the return of the GR Cup eSports League in 2025. After a successful inaugural season, the TGRNA GR Cup eSports League is looking forward to returning to the virtual track this year as an official sim racing league for TGRNA.
“The inaugural season last year showcased fantastic racing by highly skilled sim racers, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, professionalism, and sportsmanship displayed by every competitor,” said Mike Norem, Manager of Customer Racing at Toyota Racing Development. “We eagerly anticipate welcoming the next wave of eSports competitors. Last season also featured 10 real-life GR Cup racers competing on the virtual track, and we hope to see even more familiar faces in the 2025 eSports League.”
About the League
Managed and operated by SRO America, the GR Cup eSports League is designed to mirror the intensity and excitement of the real-life Toyota GR Cup Series, allowing sim racers to push the limits behind the wheel of identical GR86 Cup Cars.
40 of the top sim racers (aged 14 and over) will virtually go head-to-head at the seven iconic tracks that the real-life GR Cup Series travels to throughout the United States, while competing for over $10,000 in purse and prizes.

League Structure
Qualifying for the GR Cup eSports League will take place from February 24th – March 3rd through the Time Attack feature on iRacing. Drivers will have a week to set their fastest laps, with qualifying taking place at Sonoma Raceway and VIRginia International Raceway. Qualifiers must log laps at both tracks via the official TGRNA GR Cup eSports League Time Attack to be eligible to qualify. Once the qualifying session ends, the Top 40 drivers will receive an invitation to join the TGRNA GR Cup eSports League for the 2025 season.
Prior to each event, a 30-minute practice session will allow drivers to familiarize themselves with the track and get their virtual GR86 Cup Cars dialed in ahead of qualifying. A 10-minute official solo structure qualifying session will follow practice and set the grid for the upcoming race.
Two 25-minute races will take place at each track, as drivers will put their skills to the test across different tracks and conditions throughout the season. Fans will be able to catch all the action with races broadcast live on the GT World YouTube channel and SRO Motorsports Twitch channel.
