Podium winners in the 2024 Formula Race Promotions program, Jackson and Ethan Tovo are set to make their Toyota GR Cup North America debut later this month. Competing out of the Nitro Motorsports stable, and utilizing their ladder program from karts to cars to further their racing goals, the Tovos will take on the VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) over the July 19-21 weekend.
“I am more than excited to join Nitro Motorsports,” explained Jackson Tovo. “They have been proven race winners in multiple programs and helped develop drivers into professionals in motorsports. It is going to be great to be part of their program.”
Ethan Tovo added, “Both my brother and I have gone from karting to open wheel to Legend Cars, and now to sampling sportscars in one season. It is great to try so many programs as we make the path for our future.”
Most recently, the Tovo Twins have been tearing up the FRP ranks, running in the top-five of the ultra-competitive F1600 field. Racing with K-Hill Motorsports, Nick Tucker has followed their progress and has seen them improve with each passing weekend.
Tucker added, “The kids are learning at a frantic pace, and they are committed to doing that but also having fun. The GR Cup Series is great for both seasoned professionals and young rookies like the Tovos. We look forward to seeing them behind the wheel of our racecars.”
