Gresham Wanger (Copeland Motorsports) earned his second straight Continental Tire Pole Award with a GR Cup track record of 02:23.777 on Sunday morning which put him on the front row with teammate Westin Workman qualified second. Wagner was able to gain control of the lead after the field exited Turn 1 on the opening lap of Race 2 as battles ensued behind him. Jordan RickSegrini (BSI Racing), Spike Kohlbecker (TechSport Racing), and Alex Garcia (Skip Barber Racing) found themselves in a three-way battle for the seventh position before Kohlbecker was able to gain control of the spot, opening the door for Henry Drury of Precision Racing LA w/ PT Autosport to charge forward and join the mix.
Just ahead of the battle for seventh saw a three-way sprint for the final podium spot just 10 minutes into the race. Lucas Weisenberg (Lucas Racing), Adam Brickley (Copeland Motorsports), and Jaxon Bell (Copeland Motorsports) were nose to tail jockeying for the position. A wide turn from Weisenberg coming out of Turn 6 opened the door for Bell to take advantage of the inside line as they raced into Turn 7, allowing Bell to take over third.
The safety car was deployed with 26 minutes remaining on the clock as the No. 24 of Jade Avedisian (Nitro Motorsports) came to a halt on the Ullman Straight just before Turn 17. The full course yellow lasted just 10 minutes as the field went back racing with 16 minutes remaining. Wagner was able to get a good jump on the restart and pull away to capture his fourth consecutive win of the season as the checkered flag flew.
