Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup Series makes its return following the summer break at Road America for Rounds 9 and 10 of the 2026 season. The “National Park of Speed” will feature 29 drivers, including Rutledge Wood, who will make his 2026 debut following eight starts in 2025. Stone Colby will also make his GR Cup debut, driving the No. 52 Toyota GR86 for Copeland Motorsports.
Through the first eight rounds of the season, Spike Kohlbecker continues to hold a 45-point lead over second-place Jeremy Fletcher. Will Robusto sits third in the driver standings and is narrowing the gap, trailing Fletcher by just six points. Max Schweid and Parker DeLong round out the top five.
In the team championship, TechSport Racing extended its lead following two podium finishes at Road Atlanta and now holds a 38-point advantage over Copeland Motorsports. RVA Graphics Motorsports trails Copeland by just seven points, while BSI Racing and Eagles Canyon Racing with Fast Track round out the top five.
Weekend Schedule
On-track action will kick off at Road America with an action-packed Thursday, where drivers and teams will have three on-track sessions to get their GR86s dialed in for the weekend.
Thursday evening will feature the annual GT Parade, where fans can get a close look at more than 100 entries across six different series during the full-field parade through downtown Elkhart Lake. The parade runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. CT and officially opens the weekend festivities.
The GR Cup Series will have one more opportunity to practice Friday afternoon before racing action begins on Saturday. Race 1 qualifying will take place Saturday morning, followed by the first race of the weekend at 5:10 p.m. CT.
Before Saturday’s race, fans will have the opportunity to meet all GR Cup Series drivers during a 30-minute autograph session from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. CT at the victory podium. Event posters will be available for drivers to sign.
Sunday will conclude Round 10 of the 2026 season with Race 2 qualifying in the morning, followed by Race 2 going green at 12:00 p.m. CT.
