BSI Racing Leading Driver Championship in GR; Looks Ahead to VIR

After a short Summer break, BSI Racing returns to the Toyota GR Cup for the second half of the season with their sights set on attaining hardware for drivers and team.

Westin Workman catapulted himself to the top of the Driver’s Points Championship after a dominating performance at Sebring back in May. Taking both pole awards, leading both races from flag-to-flag, and running away with his well earned first wins in the series, Workman and BSI look to ride that momentum into Alton, Virginia this weekend.

Workman will be joined by a new teammate, John Lennon, who ran at Sonoma previously this season, and rookie teammate Massimo Sunserri, who put together some very encouraging results back in May as well.

“I’m looking forward to getting back in the GR86 with BSI Racing this weekend,” said Westin Workman, driver of the no. 13 Endava livery.

“Getting those wins at Sebring was definitely a weight lifted off my shoulders. We have been so close so many times, so it meant a lot to get that done. I know what I’m capable of, and I’m ready to keep pushing this weekend and chase that championship.”

Consistency has been key for the team this season. With Workman’s big weekend in May, coupled with clean and positive results earlier in the season, BSI Racing now finds itself on top of the Team Points Championship as well.

“This has been an exciting year for us,” said Team Owner, Shea Holbrook.

“We take a lot of pride in what we do as a team, so it’s important for us to be up there holistically. We are going to push Westin to get that driver’s championship. That’s the ultimate goal, and we know we can do it. Sebring was so big for us. That was our first win in this series as well, so we’re ready to keep it rolling”

On track action begins Thursday with racing all throughout the weekend.
