After a month off, the 2025 Toyota GR Cup North America resumes for rounds three and four this coming weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. BSI Racing looks to carry momentum from a successful trip out west to Sonoma Raceway, where the team saw back-to-back podiums in races one and two.
Toyota Racing Development driver Westin Workman notched two podium finishes for BSI with a P2 finish in race number one, and a hard-fought comeback for a P3 finish in race number two after starting further back in the field. Now Workman looks to take those strong performances and find himself on the top step for the first time in this series.
“We did a lot of good things at Sonoma, but I’m not satisfied,” said Westin Workman, driver of the No. 13 car.
“I know we have the car and team to get wins. I know what I’m capable of. There’s great competition this week, but I feel good about my chances. We have a good game plan, I just need to go out and execute to the high standards that I’ve set for myself.”
Rookie driver Massimo Sunseri will return to the BSI lineup as well. Sunseri finished his first GR Cup races 21st and 22nd respectively, and will look to improve on that this weekend.
“We have lofty goals this season,” said Team Owner Shea Holbrook.
“We feel like we have a real shot at a Driver championship, and we’re going to go all-out to make that happen. COTA is a great track, we have a lot of experience with our drivers here, and I’m excited for us to be back on track.”
Practice begins on Friday at 8:00 AM Central Time.
