The Toyota Gazoo Racing North America (TGRNA) GR Cup Series makes the trek to Birmingham, Alabama for the first time as Barber Motorsports Park awaits. The 2.38-mile, 17-turn road course will serve as unfamiliar territory to a number of competitors, setting the stage for a weekend of thrilling action.
With just four races remaining in the 2024 season, Copeland Motorsports driver Gresham Wagner continues to lead the driver standings with 204 points. Wagner’s teammate Westin Workman (163) holds the second spot in the standings, edging out TechSport Racing’s Spike Kohlbecker (154) by just nine points. Jaxon Bell (131) and Lucas Weisenberg (85) round out the top five.
What to Expect
Drivers will get a feel for Barber Motorsports Park on Friday with two 30-minute practice sessions before setting the lineup for Race 1 early Saturday morning with a 15-minute qualifying session. The 45-minute race will begin at 1:55 PM CT on Saturday. Drivers and teams will have the night to reset before Race 2 qualifying on Sunday morning and racing action at 12:05 PM CT.
Both races are streamed live on grcup.com and the GT World YouTube page. Fans can also catch all the racing action by joining Ash Vandelay on Twitch by following the SRO Motorsports channel. Vandelay hosts six-hour programs on Saturday and Sunday, where she is joined by drivers to chat with fans and provides insights into that day’s races.
Autograph Session
Fans will have another opportunity to meet all GR Cup drivers on Sunday, September 8 during a 30-minute autograph session hosted at a location to be announced. The autograph session will take place from 10:30 AM – 11 AM CT with event weekend posters available to sign.

- Three-day General Admission: $75
- Friday General Admission: $15
- Saturday General Admission: $35
- Sunday General Admission: $35
- Children 15 and under are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
- General Admission tickets grant attendees’ access to the paddock.
- Tickets include complimentary parking.
